Barnaby originated as a syndicated comic strip, beginning in 1942, receiving critical acclaim. Crockett Johnson is perhaps best known for his children's series based on Harold and the Purple Crayon. GOOD condition. Moderate general fading to the wraps, with moderate toning to the rear wrap. Minor soiling, creasing and scuffing. Upper front corner of the front cover apparently nibbled, with the upper corners of the last 1/4 of the book/rear cover with the same wear. Upper spine with a 1/2 inch tear. Interior solid with moderate browning to the paper. Good .
